EURHODIP - as the International Association for Supporting Education and Training in Hospitality and Tourism, represents more than 120 schools from more than thirty countries worldwide.
Over more than 40 years, many people, truly passionate about education and hospitality, have brought their culture to the heart of the Association; from tourism to gastronomy, from teaching to scientific research. This base is a meeting point for everyone. And this meeting is systematically renewed within the framework of the Annual EURHODIP Conference which has already had 28 editions.
Portugal and its institutions, in the most diverse fields of activity, are recognized as excellent hosts and, equally, excellent partners in the organization of events in the most diverse areas of activity. Therefore, Turismo de Portugal, IP and its Schools, as an Full Member of EURHODIP, could not say no to this challenge. It is, therefore, with great honour and a sense of commitment that we welcome this Conference.
The last two years have been particularly difficult for everyone; and those to come promise nothing easier. They put the world in shock and uncertainty in everyone's mind. But that didn't make the Schools stop; reinvented themselves and continued their education projects and commitments to their students and families. That is also why this is a project in which we want to participate and always speed up with a spirit of commitment and a sense of belonging.
The experience in similar projects with a European scope certainly allows us to guess the added value that we can all derive from it. On the one hand, international experience allows students and teachers to enrich their skills, experience a different culture and, ultimately, make comparisons. On the other hand, this same project, and the feeling of sharing, strengthens ties and solidifies the European project in times that want, more than ever, European cohesion in its principles and values.
This is why we invite you to participate in the 29th Annual EURHODIP Conference.
See you all in Évora.
